Learn how to execute advanced skills and dig into the strategy for play on the field.

It’s mobile friendly, so you can take it onto the practice field with you!

Advanced Infield Skills

Development of infield players, focusing on ground ball mechanics with in depth work on backhand and slow roller skills.

Middle Infield: Double play feeds and pivots to develop the skills of shortstops and second basemen.

Corner Infielders: Focus on the specific skills, strategies, and related drills needed to play first or third base at advanced levels of play.

Advanced Outfield Play

Fundamental skill sets and related drills correlating specifically to each of the three outfield positions: left field, center field, and right field.

Advanced Pitching and Catcher Skills

Work through the mechanics of a pitch from position and windup through release and finish. Dig into fastball, changeup, curveballs, sliders, knuckleballs - and holding a baserunner.

Develop a catcher with stance adjustments, receiving skills, blocking a pitch in the dirt, throwing out base runners, passed and wild pitch balls, pop-ups and fielding bunts.

Advanced Offense

Implement the three main aspects of hitting: pitch recognition, mechanics, and game plan. Dig into stance, load and stride, rotation, contact, extension and finish - and master the skill of bunting.

The Mental Edge

Raw talent alone is not always enough to make college or professional baseball happen for a student-athlete. Mental skills can be a differentiator.

Testimonials

“Winning Baseball is a outstanding baseball instructional series. I have been in professional baseball for 17 years now, and I hope players and parents get the chance to read the manuals and watch the videos. This manual will give players a good foundation of their skills before they move to the upper levels. It’s fun to see someone with great passion for the game as Coach Mongero has. Great Job, Trent!”

Scott Emerson

Pitching Coach for the Oakland A's, 14 years as Minor League Pitching Coach, Played in the Orioles and Red Sox organizations

“…Even though I played Major League baseball, I will never stop learning about this great game. I wish the Winning Baseball books/videos had been out twenty years ago because it would have only made me a better player.

Trot Nixon

Boston Red Sox

“These are the best skills and drills manuals I have ever seen.”

Ray Tanner

Coach of the 2010 & 2011 National Champion teams at the University of South Carolina

Winning Baseball and  the (video) presentation put together by Coach Trent Mongero is one of the finest teaching tools that I have ever seen for high school level, period! I hope that baseball prospects who aspire to be good fundamental players will take this manual and learn the game from the inside out. It will not only help your skill level tremendously, but your physical well being, as well.”
